Treated Sod means:

  • Regulated Irrigation
  • Pest control application - pre-emergence
  • Fertilization
  • Weed Control
  • Frequent mowing

Non-Treated Sod means:

No treatment generally in any form, has none of the treated grass applications. It may contain weeds and occasional cow manure since it’s a pasture grass.

SOD BASE CHOICES

MUCK BASED SOD – This is a very dark black rich soil used for a sod base, however it Is not recommended for new sod installation in the rainy season

SAND BASED SOD - A good sod if purchased from a farm that has a good treatment plan. This sod has excellent drainage and can be used most times of the year except winter if it is St. Augustine Floratam. Not recommended for shade grass installation in the rainy season.
